Yes. It is at
http://lists.csmit.org/ Presently it hosts private lists and a
public linux mailing list called mitlinux@xxxxxxxxx which reaches all
students of MIT.
Please set up the list and let us know.
We have to decide upon a name before setting it up. I think it is better to
name it as "Tamil Free Software User Group" or something in that line. The
name 'Linux' does not adequately reflect the broad range of software (and
issues) we will discuss in that list. *We are not going to talk only about
kernel there.* As far as i can remember, may be only 5% ILUGC mails are
about *Linux*.[Of course >50% doesn't deal with computers at all, but it's
another issue.]
It also undermines the contribution of a great visionary because of whom we
are all able to experience free[dom] software and talk about it and fight
over setting up of mailing lists in native languages. Till date I regret
naming the above list as 'mitlinux'.
