Well, I think one thing he is referring to is a virtual mode or sometimes 
called browse mode.  

I guess sometimes a person has to make choices about what they purchase based 
on whether they believe paying the premium price is worth the difference in 
price.  But, when it comes to a difference of over $1,000 those features had be 
absolutely essential.

I'd be curious to know what features you can't find? The only real one I can 
think of is being told how many feet a place is from you, or how many feet a 
street crossing is, that would be nice, but it's not really something I miss 
personally.
