hi there what a great post and how much i agree with everything you say. as a totally blind piano tuner i have a very very similar setup with the apex and iphone i must get around to getting the 2011 upgrade. it makes one think though how long can the specialized notetakers keep going as things move so fast. one great feature on the sendero would be actual voice speaking of the next intersection and if this was an option you could manage with out having to press any keys while you were on a bus or walking. a very similar thing to the good old symbian wayfinder gps. yes though sendero have done a truly remarkable job with the gps i understand a sighted person can go out and buy a very good one for £120 here in the uk but we cannot see the screen and need special access. I have Sendero GPS on an Apex QT. I 0 have an Iphone with Sendero LookAround and other GPS apps that work 0 very well. I also have an Android phone with Sendero LookAround and 0 other GPS apps that work very well. I totally agree that there are 0 features on the Sendero Apex product that are worth paying money for. 0 worth paying more than I did for other paid apps on the phones frankly 0 My problem is that the Apex itself was definitely not worth paying 0 for. while that's not the topic of this list, it's important when 0 considering the total cost of GPS solutions. I thik the Sendero 0 products are the greatest. I'm worried about the platforms they've 0 chosen given where things are going. There is nothing that I do with 0 the Apex that I can't do better on some other device (with Braille on 0 the Iphone). So at some point I am likely to sell the Apex. And hence, 0 I'm very interested in Sendero building fully featured apps for other 0 platforms. And I'm OK about paying some amount more for them if they 0 bring all the features together that are now on the notetaker 0 versions. I know some people want it for nothing. I think it is a 0 specialized market etc. and am willing to pay for that. But it's got 0 to get off the notetakers in the foreseeable future. Just my two cents 0 worth on it. 0 0 On 6/10/11, Christopher Bartlett Ing"themusicalbrewerthegmailddcom0Ing wrote: 0 0 Forgive the contradiction, but isn't that what intersection explorer does? 0 0 Can you (from IE) check out nearby things?
