That's trivial. Satelllites don't, 3G cellular phones don't, most of the deployed 802.11 don't, cable systems don't, PON networks like Verizon FiOS don't, and the more technically successful of UWB schemes don't either. Satellites use single carrier and MPEG-2 TS, not so different from ATSC.

I see this obsession overt COFDM very much in the same light as the obsession over ethanol fuels. The best thing you can say about ethanol fuels is that they serve the causes of politicians who need pork barrel programs to get votes. Gullible constituents get hooked and reeled in by the rhetoric, and won't they be surprised when they discover that this facile solution doesn't solve anything.

I think Tom has by far the best solution. We need to make sure nothing will further delay the switch-off date of analog TV. Only then will the broadcasters and the FCC focus on the real issues, instead fo being time and time again sidetracked by the special interests and their clever manipulation of their information-challenged audiences.
