Not just STBs, but also PVRs and DVDRs. All it takes to make a TV solution attractive to people. Integrated receivers in TV sets is certainly one component of a successful deployment, but not sufficient. Plain STBs are but one product these other companies could offer.

I know your position, though. You believe that COFDM would not solve the DTT problem in the US. You believe that the DTT spectrum should be drastically repurposed, and that for THAT repurposing, COFDM would be a better choice.

Just to keep the different threads straight.

(And again, where DTT is successful, it has been, to date, to offer FOTA TV and not much else. And low-cost ATSC STBs, be they the Accurian on sale or the new Samsung, do have a way of flying off the store shelves. Go figure.)
