Thoughts?

Seems like a solid idea (unless you can get to a riddle answer from two
different sections - can you have two idrefs?)

<http://www.projectaon.org/en/xhtml-less-simple/lw/09tcof/title.htm#sect241>

There are multiple (i.e. 2) solutions to the "If you know only one of the two correct numbers" section. There may be one other instance in the various series where there are multiple possible solutions. Therefore, can we allow the <riddle> tag to accept multiple sections: <riddle idref="sectxxx" alt_idref="sectyyy"> or similar?

[Vial of Blue Pills]
I'm not clear on what this means for your program. Is this just an
issue for someone reading the chart?

I believe the issue is that the items refer to the same thing but are
referred to with different names.

Personally, I would tend to agree with this request anyway (specifically
i would want to standardize on either "blue pills" or "sabito" depending
on whichever made more sense). I mean in one section its telling you to
write "sabito" on your action chart and the next its asking if you have
"blue pills" written there - which technically, you do not.

I entirely agree: if you're told to add something to your Action Chart and then asked for it by a different name, the text is broken. Thus:

(er) 07cd 60, 184: If you have a Vial of Blue Pills -> If you possess some Sabito [so: see also 09tcof 289. Credit David KubeÄka [DK] ]

I can implement these proposed changes if we're happy with them. I can also look at adding the <riddle> and <death> tags to some of the books, unless there's someone else who would like to work on this.

Your program may help us also enhance the XML source files that may
help you and might eventually help anyone writing an automated game.
In the XML, we could add some metadata about the choices like this:

<choice idref="sectXXX">
  <requires>
   <item item-id="sabito" quantity="1"/>
  </requires>
  ...
</choice>

In the section where you can pick up the item:

<item item-id="sabito" action="add" type="backpack"
quantity="2">Sabito</item>

Just something that's been kicked around for a while but we haven't
really had time to implement.

I think the Freeway Warrior series already has something like this implemented, for reference.
