RHEL does not require the licensee to make modifications to software -
what modifications are you talking about, to which piece of software
included in RHEL? The source code is redistributable without
encumbrances. I really can't understand what the problem is with that.
None of the terms of the GPL or any other license is being violated
here.

It only seems to give handles to people to call others "pirates",
"criminals" etc. and that hurts the spirit.

Well, hardly Redhat's fault, isn't it?

I'm curious what your take on SuSE Enterprise Linux is.
